Description: Portrait of the artist’s mother, Barbara Helena Karpińska née Pisz, busying herself with handiwork (sewing). There is another one, in oils (pre-1904), depicting the artist’s mother in left profile, in a characteristic cap on her head (oil on canvas, National Museum in Szczecin).
